Two amazing art shows this summer, lots of new work, commissions... I've been busy. I've also been exploring a new technique, Glass on Glass. Follow me on Instagram (MosaicsbyVirgene) thanks to my truly talented daughter, Alexa. She manages the site, and surprises me daily by posting one of my mosaics.

The Etsy shop is up and running.
https://www.etsy.com/shop/MosaicsbyVirgene?ref=hdr_shop_menu. Here are a few of my newer pieces. I have added more items in the Etsy shop. You can see them on the website, Etsy.com, in my shop called: mosaicsbyvirgene.
I have opened a store on Etsy, named: Mosaicsbyvirgene
I'll be putting mosaic pieces in periodically, starting with just a few yesterday, but adding more this week. Let me know what you think. If you're an Etsy shopper, and favorite my shop, I would greatly appreciate it. (Sorry about the other two posts you received, I was adding new mosaic photos to the site.) I was honored to have one of my mosaics (Black Winged Stilt) accepted into the Imagine Art Show at Texas State in Round Rock. Last night's reception was amazing. The Black Winged Stilt was an interpretation from a photograph taken by Ike Fordyce, our neighbor here in Texas. He is a well-known photographer who has graciously given me permission to use his photos.
I haven't posted in quite some time...but I've been working hard on mosaics. Here are a few of my newest. Names in order: Arbol de la Vida, Dragon, Nevermore, A Sheep at the Gate, and Barbed Wire. Since my last post, I was juried into another gallery, Gallery Off the Square in Georgetown, Texas. I have also been accepted in two art shows: Art in the Park in Bemidji, Minnesota in July and the First City of Arts Studio Cruise, also in Bemidji in October.
Who individually cuts out of glass each feather of a chicken......oh, that would be me. I'll let you know when she's done. Her name is Darth Peepers. Grouting will be difficult. Yes, grout will be between each piece. I'm done with all the vegetation around The Darth and ready to start the background today. Just not sure of the color yet. Might do blues. The photo is from a knitting (!!!!) podcast I watch Spin Farm. Wonderful podcast. Joanna gave me permission to use any of her photos on her Facebook page. I see mosaics in many of them.
