Who individually cuts out of glass each feather of a chicken......oh, that would be me. I'll let you know when she's done. Her name is Darth Peepers. Grouting will be difficult. Yes, grout will be between each piece. I'm done with all the vegetation around The Darth and ready to start the background today. Just not sure of the color yet. Might do blues. The photo is from a knitting (!!!!) podcast I watch Spin Farm. Wonderful podcast. Joanna gave me permission to use any of her photos on her Facebook page. I see mosaics in many of them.

I am getting ready for the Hill Country Art Fair in Sun City (Georgetown, Texas) this weekend. I have quite a few new pieces, including this large sunflower. Other pictures of new items on the Lazy Susan, Mirrors, Tables, and Wall Art pages of the blog.
If you're in the Grand Rapids, Minnesota area this Friday, I'll be displaying my mosaics at The Yarn Gallery during the First Friday Art Walk. Here's an article that appeared in the Sunday newspaper.

BUT, I've finished the Black Iris that was in progress. We had the studio built in 2010 and did the inside work ourselves. Sheets of glass along one wall get cut into pieces, tumbled in a rock tumbler and sorted by color into drawers.
